"This image shows axons from the retina of a mouse projecting into the visual thalamus (cyan). Cell bodies that send axon projections to visual cortex are also labeled (magenta and yellow). We took this image to map the pattern of connections between cells from the retina and neurons in the visual thalamus that send axons to visual cortex. "
