Confocal Micrograph
"We took this confocal image of a large artery and vein to see whether the loss of cell surface receptors called integrins affects angiogenesis - the growth of new blood vessels. Tumor angiogenesis is an important step which allows tumors to grow and metastasize. If we can stop tumor angiogenesis, we may be able to inhibit tumor growth."
