This is an image of high endothelial venules (HEVs) near a tumor. The image was taken to demonstrate that specialized endothelial cells are near tumors that help immune cells enter tumors. Inside the vessel (blue and green) are T cells (red) that are “rolling” through the vessel on their way into the tissue. The tumor cannot be seen in this image, but would be below the field of view.
