The pancreatic cancer cells are grown into 3D structures known as “organoids,” recapitulating the architecture of tumors in a dish. By culturing cancer cells and neurons together, we can observe their dynamic interactions—a collaboration that facilities tumor development, progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance across a broad range of cancers.
