"Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is the enzyme responsible for making all deoxyribonucleotides in the cell for both DNA synthesis and repair. These enzymes are thus a target for anti-cancer therapies because without RNR activity, cells cannot divide. This image shows the structure of RNR with an affector bound. The electron density is shown in blue mesh, and in the background the raw diffraction data used to solve the structure is shown."
